Hello Pgt
Welcome to your newsletter for week 4! With Lunar New Year around the corner and new events coming up from Warwick Presents, Student Opportunity and the SU, there are lots of social activities and development opportunities for you to join. We also update you on further flexibility in extending deadlines, and share important information about the on campus rent waiver extension.
Further flexibility in extending deadlines
As a result of the extended lockdown, it is clear that many of you continue to encounter challenges relating to your studies. We are fully aware of the need to listen to what you are telling us, and implement changes that ensure you are best placed to succeed. Your department, your student representatives and the Students’ Union have understood that many of you specifically need more flexibility on deadlines at this stage. So two changes are now underway:
Your department is creating some additional leeway on deadlines for your course. In some cases this will be another blanket extension of deadlines, in other cases particular deadlines will be extended. Exactly what your department is able to do, depends on how your course and assessments are organised so this information is just designed to make you aware of the intention to deliver ongoing support in recognition of the feedback we are getting from you; what the arrangements look like at a course level will be communicated to you directly by your department.
We’re also developing an online portal for all students to use. It’s a way you can manage requesting extensions for deadlines yourself in Tabula without the need for additional documentation (evidence) and will sit alongside the mitigation portal. This is in the final stages of development and we’ll inform you when it’s ready.
What do you need to do?
Please continue to check your inbox for specific details on the exact arrangements for your course.
