Library Language Exchange
Join us in the Rootes Learning Grid on Tuesdays, 5pm-6.30pm, in weeks 7 and 9, for our regular Library Language Exchange. Play board games and be introduced to a range of languages and skills – no prior expertise is required! Come along next Tuesday to learn some basic Cantonese with fellow students and take a well-deserved break from your studies.
Creative Chillout
Get creative and celebrate Pride month on Friday 2 June, 1pm-3pm, with the Library’s Pride Creative Chillout, held in the Library Seminar Room (Floor 2). Come along to make badges, bracelets, flags, and more!
Academic Writing Station
Level up your writing with the Library’s weekly Academic Writing Stations, where you can receive feedback on your academic writing from student facilitators. These stations are on Fridays, 11am-12pm, online via Teams and in person in the Library Co-Creation Space (Floor 2).
Distinguished Africa Lecture
Come along to a special Africa Hub event on Monday 12 June, 4.15pm- 5.30pm in the Oculus (OC0.03), to celebrate the first anniversary of the Warwick Africa Hub. The event will feature the launch of the Africa Inequality Learning Group followed by a Distinguished Africa Lecture hosted by world-renowned academic Professor Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela. Wellbeing: Managing stress, anxiety, and change
Sometimes, change can be unsettling. Some feelings of stress and anxiety are normal but if feeling stressed and anxious is getting in the way of your day-to-day functioning, then we have lots of support for you. Start by having a look at our self-help pages on stress and anxiety. The self-help materials contain evidence-based strategies which can help you to feel calmer and more in control. To support you in managing changes, the Managing Change Masterclass has lots of information, tips and support and is available on our website.
