Hello Jemima,

Welcome to this week's newsletter. Today it's University Mental Health Day and the Wellbeing Support Services team have put together a list of tips, events and resources to help you look after yourself during the pandemic.

From the SU Spring Election Results and Warwick Presents, to International Women's Day and Sustainability for Students - March 2021, there are lots of updates and opportunities this week, so read on to find out more!

University Mental Health Day - Thursday 4 March 2021

When we are worried or anxious and there are a lot of unknowns, we are often keen to try and predict what might happen, or find as much information as we can. Wellbeing Support Services have put together a useful list of tips, events and resources that you might find helpful.


Wellbeing Support - Work Life Balance

This week's theme is about Work-Life Balance. Work-Life Balance can be tricky at times. During busier parts of the year, when there are conflicting deadlines or exams, it can begin to feel overwhelming. Eating at Warwick scheme will be discontinued on 31 March 2021

The technology driving the Eating at Warwick scheme has reached the end of its life. As a result, the scheme will be discontinued on 31 March 2021. Find out more.

Warwick Presents: Food, activities, arts & music

With Warwick Presents you can experience a rolling programme of themes, events, activities and entertainment. 
 


Escape Room Live - Rogue Agent v2.0

We are back with a second live Escape Room event on Thursday 11 March at 7.30 pm. Join a game as a team of 4-6 or as an individual (and we will match you with other Warwick students playing). Hosted by a live actor, you will compete against the other teams online in real-time, to solve the puzzles. Book your place!


Window Wanderland

Have a look at your Wanderful Windows that we have spotted so far, register to take part, and if you are in the local area, don't forget to have a look at the University's display in The Oculus. Global Connections - Famous Women Quiz

On 8 March, join us for a quiz inspired by International Women's Day. There will be questions about women from around the world so put your thinking caps on and come along for some fun and interesting trivia.

Take part in race equality discussion groups

Join discussion groups to help provide us with greater insight into the results of the recent race equality surveys, which highlighted both issues to address, and some positive examples to build on. Find out more about the discussion groups and how to sign up.


International Women's day

Celebrate inspirational women on International Women’s Day. Explore what's happening at Warwick as part of the annual event to promote gender equality, recognise the achievements of women, and work to understand the challenges that lie ahead. The SU has also scheduled a series of online events as part of their International Women's Week, and GCC will be doing their Famous Women Quiz. Find out more.

Don't forget that you can still nominate Postgraduates who teach for Warwick Awards of Teaching Excellence (WATE PGR) or your Personal Tutor for a Warwick Award for Personal Tutoring Excellence (WAPTE).

Sustainability for Students - March 2021

Next week it's Green Week 2021 and the aim is to collaborate with the local community. Find out how to get involved and what's on, as well as how Warwick researchers are reusing materials for future construction.


Work Experience Bursary (WEB)

The Warwick Work Experience Bursary is funded by the generous donations of Warwick alumni and friends, to provide financial support to students undertaking unpaid work experience. Find out more and apply.


Lord Rootes Fund: Funding from £100 to £3000 to turn your idea into a reality

The Lord Rootes Fund is intended to encourage creativity, innovation and positive impact and is open to all current Warwick students. Register to attend our info event on 10 March, find out more and apply by Wednesday 31 March 2021.

The National Student Survey (NSS) 2021 

Finalists, remember to complete the NSS to share your views on your course and help us to shape the teaching and learning experience at Warwick.
