Through these monthly emails, we'll round up news, views and resources on all things education policy and quality in one place - covering work underway to support great education and what's coming up.

The first cohort of students graduate from University College Birmingham with Warwick awards
A total of 523 UCB students graduated with a Warwick degree this year, representing 43 countries and 19 different programmes. Find out more about the graduation ceremony, and other developments for the partnership over the past year - including an expansion of the portfolio of validated programmes, and an inclusive education project co-created with students.

Academic Governance Review

Curriculum Management
The project is preparing to move from the discovery phase to the delivery phase at the start of 2024, and work is currently progressing in preparation for this - find out more about the next steps.

This week (20-24 November) marks Academic Integrity Celebration Week. We have been running a series of events for staff and students, including panel sessions on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), SU Advice Centre stands in departments, and referencing clinics in the Library.
During Wednesday's panel event, we announced the winners of our student competition on the theme of 'championing academic integrity in the age of AI'. The competition was judged by Coventry University's Academic Manager for Student Experience, Irene Glendinning. We had some fantastic creative submissions, which you can view on this page, including the winning entries who will receive Amazon vouchers.
The Dean of Students' Office have produced a new conversation starter pack to support Personal Tutors navigate discussions about using generative Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT - read more here.
The National Student Survey will open to Warwick students on 5 February 2024. Find out more about the survey here - and make sure you have checked and returned your department's list of final year students to EPQ by 27 November at the latest.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Education Administrators Forum on 16 November, where we covered updates from EPQ, the Code of Practice for Disabled Students, and AI and Academic Integrity. The Warwick JISC Digital Survey launches on Monday 27 November to undergraduate and postgradute taught students. The survey asks students about their digital learning experiences, including the devices and technology used for their learning, how they feel about the University's digital environmnent, opportunities to develop their skills, and any issues they may have experienced with digital tools. Please encourage undergraduate and postgraduate taught students to complete the survey, using this promotional text and survey link:

Training offered by QAA
The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) are offering training for those new to quality. Step into Quality training is a new session scheduled for 5 December - this is a 2 hour session, with no prior work required. There is a maximum of 5 delegates per institution, providing there are spaces. Further opportunities for this training are on 5 February and 26 April.
This January, the QAA are also running Introduction to Quality training. This is a more intensive time commitment, with 2 live sessions and pre-reading and recoredings, and a maximum of 2 delegates from each institution, subject to available places. Another session will be held from 15-23 May 2024.
