Hello Jemima
Term 2 draws to a close, as does 12 months of the UK being in and out of lockdown. It has been an extraordinary time for the University community, the UK, and the world. Many people will have had their lives changed in many ways and it’s important to find a moment to reflect on what has happened to us all.
In terms of your education, we have continued to deliver teaching, and you’ve continued to impress us with your hard work and perseverance. Thank you for all your efforts, and for your resilience.
As I have mentioned before, your feedback remains invaluable. Final year students have the opportunity to share their views in the National Student Survey until 30 April. This term, many of you have also taken part in our student research panel, enabling us to share plans and ideas, and hear your views and feedback in return. We will continue to work with this student panel in term 3, so look out for opportunities to join and share your views.
Looking ahead to term 3, we are still waiting for UK government guidance on when all students will be able to return after the Easter vacation. We’re also aware some of you will be unable to physically return due to ongoing international travel restrictions. We will continue to provide a blended offer that means all students can access online learning and support.
And please be assured, we are doing all we can to make provisions so that government can be convinced that it is acceptable for all students to return to campus in April.
If you’re returning to campus, we’ll be there to welcome you and look after any wellbeing concerns you have. And, as has become the norm in recent months, we ask that everyone does their bit to look after each other, by following national guidance and sticking to community responsibilities.
Please continue to check your University email account and MyWarwick regularly for updates on term 3, including during the Easter vacation. You’ll also find information about support available and what’s on over the vacation on the Easter pages.
Finally, I’d like to wish you all the very best for your upcoming assessments. I hope you are able to find time to rest and enjoy your break alongside your assessment preparations.
