Education and Student Experience Strategy
Staff and students across the University are joining us through March and April to feed their ideas, analysis and views into the formulation of our next strategy. Join them at one of five workshops by securing your place before the sessions reach capacity. Workshops are focused on faculties and central teams, but they are not exclusive, so if you cannot attend the obvious session for you, do join us at an alternative.
-
Central Professional Services: 25 March (9am-12pm)
-
Faculty of Social Sciences: 18 April (10am-1pm)
-
Faculty of Arts: 24 April (9am-12pm)
-
Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine: 29 April (2pm-5pm)
We have publihsed a Green Paper that provides a series of 'conversation starters' on our future education and student experience in 2030. Whether or not you can attend a workshop, we welcome your written feedback on the parts of the Green Paper that resonate with you. Read the Green Paper here, and use our online form to send us your feedback.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Ahead Together launch event on 29 February. Staff and students across the University reflected on learning from the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review and started discussions on our new strategy. You can access the event's resoures and outputs here - including presentation slides, scribe illustrations, photography, and the Green Paper.

Academic Governance Review
Decisions made by the Senate and its committees at the university, faculty and department levels impact your work and study daily. An external review of these bodies has now been reported, and we need your help identifying the actions that should be taken in response.
You can find the external review report, the early thinking of a Senate Working Group in a Green Paper, and an invitation to share your feedback online here. Contribute by 19 April 2024 to inform the decisions and next steps agreed by Senate at its next meeting.
Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)
Find out more about the survey, and the communications campaign and departmental activities to help encourage student participation and achieve a high response rate.
Meet Education Policy and Quality
Meet Vicky, who managed the Institutional Teaching and Learning Review and is now focused on delivering the National Student Survey and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey.

National Student Survey (NSS) - response rate update
Two thirds of departments have reached the response rate threshold for reporting of results and five departments have now surpassed the departmental target of 65%. Institutionally our response rate is 2% higher than the same point last year. Please keep promoting the survey to your students so that more departments can achieve the 65% target, allowing the results to be more reflective of our student population.
A range of briefings and training sessions for key roles relating to Boards of Examiners will be taking place from late April to early May - find out more and sign up here.
Lecture Capture Policy updated
The Lecture Capture Policy and consent form have been updated to reflect new data retention and consent processes. If you have any questions about the changes, please contact lecturecapture@warwick.ac.uk.
The Warwick JISC Digital Survey is your chance to tell us about your digital expectations and experiences and how these affect your work. This will help to improve the services available to you, and the University's support for teaching and learning. Plus, by sharing your thoughts you could win a £10 Amazon voucher. Find out more and complete the 10-minute survey here.
