There is still time to sign up for the Doctoral College’s Festival of Postgraduate Research on 23 May. You can register to attend the event either in person or online. You’ll hear from a range of speakers and learn about the fantastic research that colleagues are working on here at Warwick. There will be opportunities to network with each other over lunch and dinner.

Summer Researcher
Development programme

The Summer Researcher Development programme starts on 10 June with a focus on Careers , Conferences and Transitions. More details will be released on the Researcher Development MS Teams site, Researcher Development webpages and @warwickrrsp on X/Twitter from 13 May. Bookings will open on SkillsForge on 20 May.



 

e-Visa

If you are not a UK or Irish national, you may need an e-Visa soon. The UK Home Office is changing the way in which non-UK/Irish nationals prove their immigration status in the UK. The new system will gradually replace physical documents with a digital status known as ‘e-Visa’. Watch this 2-minute video and read our Immigration news article for further information.

Monash Graduate Research Writing and Publishing Workshop in Prato, Italy

This is an opportunity for PGRs from the Faculty of Arts. The workshop’s aim is to mentor PGRs to enhance their skills in preparing, writing, and getting an article or chapter published. The workshop will be held at the Monash University Prato Centre, Italy, from Monday 16 to Friday 20 September 2024 (inclusive). We have up to five spaces for Warwick Faculty of Arts PGRs to attend this year. Applications should be submitted no later than Wednesday 15 May using this form.

Society & Culture Spotlight PGR and ECR Writing Competition

The Society & Culture Spotlight would like to invite Postgraduate Researchers and Early Career Researchers across the University to apply to our 2023/24 writing competition. This is an exciting opportunity for your work to be published on the Society & Culture Spotlight webpage, receive a supportive mentor and to present your work at a Society & Culture Spotlight Celebration event. The published authors and winner will receive a prize. Find out more and how to apply.

Implications of Spoken Language Data Sessions

This is a call for researchers at all levels who work with spoken data across Warwick! Join us between 5 - 20 June at four hands-on spoken data sessions, aimed at developing transferable data analytic skills of Warwick's researchers who work with all forms of spoken data. In person and online options are available. Refreshments, drinks and fascinating networking opportunities are provided! Register here.

 
PGR Welcome Event Nov

Celebrating
Neurodiversity

Our PGR Neurodiversity Day on 14 June will be held at Scarman with an evening social at The Graduate. There will be guest speakers, panels, workshops, wellbeing sessions and sensory bags. If you’d like to come to the event, but do not want to come alone, then you can opt-in to our Buddy Scheme on the form. Sign up today.

Academic and Non-Academic Career Panel

Following on from the Festival of Postgraduate Research in May, the Doctoral College are running two interdisciplinary Q&A-style panels for both academic and non-academic careers with speakers from a range of careers on 6 and 12 June. Find out more and sign up.
