Welcome back to your Doctoral College newsletter. If you haven't already shared your thoughts in the Student Feedback Survey, please do so this week, so we can understand where improvements can be made to your experience at Warwick. We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Festival of Postgraduate Research!

Don't forget, if you are in need of support during your research journey, our Wellbeing and Student Support team is available from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm, both face to face and online.

UK General Election

The UK General Election is taking place on 4 July 2024. Make sure your voice is heard and register to vote by 11:59pm on 18 June. You also have the option to vote by post or by proxy. For more information on the UK General Election and how to vote, please visit our webpage.

The Brilliant Club

An opportunity to receive training and work as a tutor in The Brilliant Club, which is an award-winning university access charity. They provide PhDs and ECRs training in widening participation, research communication and teaching. Researchers are then paid to deliver programmes to small groups of pupils in state schools across the UK with the aim to support their access to the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. Funding: Enhancing Research Culture at Warwick

Are you working on a research project themed around wellbeing, inclusion, open research, or research leadership? Apply for the Enhancing Research Culture Funding Call, for internal grants of up to £50,000.

Trusted Research
Workshop

This training aims to support risk-aware international engagement as part of the Trusted Research campaign. It focuses on key risks related to dual-use research, relevant compliance, and how the Research & Impact Services team can support you to undertake risk-aware international engagement. To access this session, please follow this meeting link on Tuesday 11 June, 1:30-2:30pm.

Spotlight Celebration

Postgraduate researchers and early career researchers are invited to a celebration event on Tuesday 2 July, with lunch included at Scarman Conference Centre. Take the opportunity to network, meet fellow researchers and listen as applicants to the Society & Culture Spotlight writing competition present their work.
