Hello Student,

Thank you to those of you who have already filled in our vaccination survey to help us plan vaccine provision and COVID-19 support in the new academic year, and to keep our community safe.

If you've not already shared your thoughts, please do take time to answer a few questions. Our five-minute survey is strictly anonymous and we won’t be able to identify you from the answers you give.

Thank you in advance for taking part. We really appreciate it as we look to plan for the coming months.

Aubergine Bullet How we’ll support you once term starts:

  • You’ll be able to register with our on-campus NHS Health Centre. If you’re joining us for the first time you’ll be asked to register as part of enrolment. Or you may already be enrolled at the practice. The team will get in touch with you and invite you to book your vaccinations.
  • If you won’t have had both of your vaccinations before the start of the new academic year, you’ll be able to take advantage of our vaccination centre on campus from 25 September. If you are registered with an off-campus health centre, but have your NHS number, you’ll be able to book a slot too. Walk-in vaccinations will also be available.
  • Like last year you’ll be able to access regular asymptomatic Lateral Flow Tests whether fully vaccinated or not.
  • Our dedicated symptomatic testing service on campus will be open.
  • If you’re required to self-isolate, we’ll support you to do that.

You’ll still be able to access vaccinations if you’re not registered with a GP, but if you are registered, it makes it easier for the Health Centre to access your records through your NHS number, ensure you have the most appropriate vaccinations(s) at the appropriate times, and you can use the NHS vaccine app to record your status too.

Aubergine Bullet Before term starts:

We’re encouraging all students to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible, ideally before you arrive on campus for the new academic year.

A reminder that you can now book a Covid-19 vaccination whether you’re registered with a GP or not. You can book a first dose through your GP and a second dose in a different location through the National Booking Service if you're staying in different parts of the UK (or hoping to get the second dose when you're back at Warwick) - and you can even re-book if you do change location. Read our helpful FAQs and find out how to book your vaccine.

Best wishes,
Warwick Student Communications Team
