Dr Lallie

In the Department of Economics, The ESRC Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE) has been awarded £7.1 million to deliver its ambitious social science research vision over the next five years.


The Warwick Prize for Women in Translation's 2024 winner is the poetry collection Revelation Freshly Erupting by Nelly Sachs, translated from German by Andrew Shanks and published by Carcanet Press.
Professor Tim Lockley found lost episodes of ‘Letter from America’ while researching classical music broadcasting. Found on the reverse side of Toscanini broadcasts, the episodes (pictured right) were made in the New York BBC studio.
WMG scientists have been listed in the World’s Top 2% database. Congratulations to Dr Harjinder Lallie (pictured left) and Dr Saif Ul Islam.

Professor Paul Botley has prepared an edition of the letters of the northern European poet, rhetorician and historian Dominicus Baudius (1561-1613), transforming the new edition into a reliable and substantial source.

Our projects

 REWIND and venice parchment


REWIND (pictured left), physical theatre devised by Ephemeral Ensemble, was named the 4th best theatre show of 2024 by the Guardian. The show is based on Professor Alison Ribeiro de Menezes' research on the legacies of violence in Latin America.


Warwick Business School (WBS) secured two awards for its research from the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) conference, highlighting WBS’s commitment to addressing critical business and societal issues through rigorous academic inquiry.  


Warwick Venice Centre has restored a significant historical document (pictured right) that has been lost for more than 70 years. The project was undertaken as part of the University’s Marco Polo International Programme.
The Centre for Applications of Mathematical and Computing Sciences (CAMaCS) received a UKRI award of £2m to develop impact-driven career pathways in mathematical and computing sciences.
WMG's Professor Mark Williams helped West Midlands Police convict a criminal for making 3D printed guns. The 3D scanning machines are 100 times more powerful than a hospital CAT scanner and can view detailed images smaller than a human hair.

Future Health

A life-sized Lego Suffragette statue (pictured right) named ‘Hope’ will be on display in the FAB Agora between 10-28 February, marking 75 years since the election of the first female MP for Coventry, Elaine Burton, in 1950.

Portfolio Delivery within IDG introduce the new research portfolio which works closely with the RTP’s and is dedicated to advancing digital solutions supporting University research. Read further details on the portfolio here.

Wednesday 12th March, 12:00-13:00, R1.03. Azzedine Dabo completed their PhD in Chemistry at the University of Warwick and is now a principal investigator at GlaxoSmithKline.
