Hi everyone and welcome to your end-of-term Week 10 Newsletter. This week brings you a special health and wellbeing edition as today the University recognises University Mental Health Day 2025.

We know that many of you are preparing for Term 3 exams and assessments through the Easter break but remember to take time to look after yourself and rest. This email is full of tools and ideas from our community to help support your health and wellbeing.

Don't forget, you can drop by the Wellbeing and Student Support team pop-up next to the Arts Centre, from 11am-1pm today—refreshments provided! 😊

“Hi everyone, I’m Adam Miller, and I’m honoured to be the Guest Editor for this special University Mental Health Day edition!  I took on the role of Head of Student Health at Warwick at the start of the 2024-25 academic year, but I’ve been part of the University’s Wellbeing and Student Support team since 2017.  My background in social work and policing has given me a strong passion for supporting others, and I feel privileged to work with such a dedicated team.

Read on to learn more about what we do in the Wellbeing and Student Support team and my top three tips for managing wellbeing. This newsletter is packed with useful resources and tools to support you".

Our team is here to support your mental health and wellbeing. We work closely with various services, including:

Stress-busting on a schedule: from Emily Tricker, Deputy Head of Wellbeing

5 minutes: Stick the kettle on!

🎶 10 minutes: Listen to some music, text a friend.

😴 30 minutes: Power nap. Call a friend. Go for a walk round the block.

🎥 1 hour: Cook your favourite food. Watch a documentary or a familiar favourite.

Did you know, we’ve created spaces designed for you to relax and re-focus? Check out the ‘Breathing space’ relaxation room in the Library, on the first floor. We also have a 'Sensory Study Room' for students registered with the University Disability Services, and all students can access The Eating Place next to the Café Library.
