Welcome to Monday's newsletter! We have an interview with our Dean of Students where you can find some great tips on making the most of time with your personal tutor. Get stuck into our inflatable obstacle course on 20 and 21 October by booking a free and fun 45 minute slot! Find out more about a careers festival and kick start your mental and physical wellbeing with our student programmes - read on to find out more.

Our Stay Safe at Warwick pages are a great resource for staying up to date with covid guidance. You can now book a vaccine at our on-campus health centre and pick up a covid test 10-4 Monday to Friday.

Warwick Presents

Warwick Presents: Inflatable Day! Enjoy a fun, action packed two days getting to grips with inflatable volleyball, inflatable dodgeball and inflatable table football or take on the “Labyrinth”, a 600ft giant inflatable obstacle course. This event is totally free and you can make 45 minute bookings for 20 and 21 October.

On Wednesday come down to the food market on the piazza to sample the best on offer from local food producers and street foodies, and enjoy a surprise! Look out for the mysterious, orange-clad Q corporation...

Restart a Heart Day

Come along to the Piazza on 13 October from 1pm, or Cannon Park Shopping Centre on 16 October to learn CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator to be able to restart a heart. The event is hosted by the Warwick Resuscitation for Medical Disciplines Society, Warwick First Aid Society and the Community Values Education Programme.

Wellbeing

Steps to wellbeing 

The Steps to Wellbeing Programme can assist you to focus on your individual wellbeing needs whilst studying at University and beyond. The programme will provide you with the opportunity to reflect on your own wellbeing needs, and a range of different strategies you can adopt and use in your day-to-day life – academically, socially, and personally. Sessions cover managing stress and anxiety, productivity and life balance, boosting low mood, sleep and relaxation, and managing change and uncertainty. Register now for sessions in October and November, and read reviews from students who have taken the course.

Active wellbeing 

Active wellbeing is all about getting fit, getting active and getting social across a range of sports and activities on offer at Warwick. There are free sessions such as Rock up and Play, virtual challenges, campus running and walking groups and activity zones, or you can try courses, become a coach or official or play in local or campus leagues, along with many more opportunities. Take a look.
