Online and
in-person exams

We are running a mixture of online and in-person exams, with online exams taking place via the Warwick Assessment System (WAS). You can read further guidance on how to find out whether your exams are online (WAS) or in-person. You can also take a look at our online and in-person exam FAQ pages.

Check your assessment registration data in Tabula

If you spot any errors in your assessment registrations in Tabula (i.e., you believe the assessment method shown does not reflect what you registered for earlier in the year), you should contact your department. They will either resolve this directly, or liaise with the Modules, Marks and Assessment Team on your behalf to resolve any issues with your timetable.

Personalised timetables

Personalised timetables (including seat numbers) for summer exams (12 May – 19 June) and Degree Apprenticeship exams (23 – 27 June) are available. Please note, if you have recently de-registered from a module and this is still appearing in your personalised timetable, you may simply disregard this entry. If you have any queries with your personalised timetable, please contact your home department in the first instance.

Lost something?

Lost property found in exam venues will be taken to the EXAMS-MMA Office (Room JX0.15, Junction Building, Ground Floor). Please be informed that student cards are held for eight weeks, and you will be notified. Other items are held for six weeks, then donated or disposed of. If you have any questions, please email aoexams@warwick.ac.uk.

What to expect on exam days

To ensure a smooth and fair exam experience, we ask all students to follow these rules. Please read them carefully and adhere to them throughout your exams:

📌 Know what you can take into your exam

Information around bag storage and permitted items can be found on the permitted items and bag storage webpage.

⏰ Running late?

You can still enter your exam within 30 mins of the exam starting but won’t receive extra time. If you are over 30 minutes late, you may still be allowed to enter, but only if no one has left the room. Try to arrive early and allow plenty of time for any delays.

🛑 Silent exam conditions

You will be asked to remain silent as soon as you enter the room, and throughout the exam.

🚷 Leaving the room

There are no exits during the first 30 or final 15 minutes of the exam, and all breaks will be supervised by an invigilator.

📄 Paper queries

If you have questions about your paper, raise this with an invigilator - they’ll pass it on to your Module Leader.

🚽 Toilet breaks

Toilet breaks are not allowed in the first 30 minutes and final 15 minutes of your exam, so do try to go before.

We are here to support you

Where to access support

Our Wellbeing and Student Support team offer a range of self-help resources and the opportunity to speak to an advisor (online or in-person), Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm. Your department or personal tutor are also available to speak to, so please do reach out. If you need space to reflect in the midst of exams and assessments, you can visit The Chaplaincy

Reasonable adjustments

If you have been granted reasonable adjustments for your exams, please check your personal timetable to confirm your exam venue. If approved by Wellbeing, don’t forget to bring a Considerate Marking Coversheet, which should be placed on your desk and attached to your answer booklet at the end of the exam by an invigilator. If your venue looks incorrect, contact your department or email aoexams@warwick.ac.uk.
