Learning, teaching and research
Library update - access, services and refurbishments
Work is continuing on a £4m refurbishment project, but the Library is still open for business. Services are available, including borrowing and Click and Collect, which are operating as normal. Find out more about the project, current library opening times, study spaces and access points as work continues.
Teaching spaces - please keep things tidy
In-person teaching spaces are set up in order to minimise the time taken up during change overs between seminars and workshops, and to enable teachers to start their classes as promptly as possible. If you're at a society or social event which takes place in a teaching room, take time at the end of the session to put furniture and equipment back to the correct layout as shown on notices around the room and online. This way, rooms can continue to be used for both teaching and extra-curricular activity. Classes have unfortunately been disrupted because furniture has been misplaced or moved. Let's work together to keep spaces tidy and get the most out of teaching sessions. Thank you.

Campus and Community
It's Black History Month
...and we're celebrating with socials and virtual and in-person events. The SU has a plethora of events to join including virtual talks, film screenings, careers events and panels.
The University has a number of anti-racism resources to assist our community in exploring and learning more about racism and taking personal action to address it. Explore what racism means, access University and external resources and learn about Report + Support, our tool for reporting racist incidents including bullying and/or harassment, anonymously if required. Take a look.
Scam notice - look out for COVID-19 scams
We’ve been made aware of a scam message being sent to students relating to COVID passes. If you receive a message asking you to apply for a COVID-19 Pass or threatening a fine if you do not apply, please do not respond. Do not click on any links or reply to the email. If you receive any scam emails, please forward them to the IT HelpDesk for information.
