Hello Student,

It's beginning to feel a lot like...the end of another term. Christmas has definitely started on campus, Rolf made sure of that, see below for how he lit up campus last night. We've also included information about how to get home safely if you're leaving for the Christmas break and about support if you're staying with us.

Our Christmas lights switch on

Yesterday's Christmas lights switch on was a fantastic event with superstar cat Rolf on hand (or should that be paw?) to press the button!

Celebrating the festive season on campus

There's so much going on on campus in the last week of term and into the Christmas vacation. There are Library Study Happy events, the last Food Market of the term, Christmas Crafts with the Global Connections Team and a festive film night on the Piazza Big Screen on 8 December. Take a look!

Testing before travel

If you're travelling to your home address or around the UK over the vacation, we advise that all students take a lateral flow test (or a PCR test if you have symptoms) before you make your journey. Find out how to book symptomatic and asymptomatic tests on campus (the Junction will close for supervised asymptomatic tests after 10 December) or at your local centre in Coventry or Leamington/Warwickshire).

If you test positive, you can use your on-campus accommodation for self-isolation as long as you need, provided you have a contract for the full year. Please let us know if you test positive.

If you're travelling internationally over the vacation, check testing and isolation requirements for your intended destination.

Staying over Christmas

What's on, campus opening times and wellbeing support

If you're staying on campus over the vacation, our Christmas at Warwick website has information on opening times for on-campus venues and retail spaces, links to local and regional transport providers, wellbeing support over the vacation, and some on-campus events over the festive period. The Chaplaincy Lounge will be open each day during the vacation, including Christmas Day, with coffee, tea, toast and board games on offer. Visit the Christmas at Warwick website for more information.

Study space opening times

Our main library (including the Wolfson Research Exchange) will be open each day over the vacation except Christmas day (25 December). Find out more about opening times for the library and all other study spaces on campus

Learning, teaching and research

Share your views on teaching and learning and enter to win a £200 Amazon voucher!

Help shape your learning experience by sharing your views on learning and teaching over term 1. Together with input from SSLC reps and the SU, your feedback will help your department to understand what works well and what could be adapted for next term. The survey won't take any more than 10 minutes to complete and once you've completed the questions you'll be entered into our prize draw to win a £200 Amazon voucher just before Christmas! Take the survey.

PG virtual open days

Thinking of further study after you graduate? Join a Postgraduate Virtual open day, choosing from all our academic departments, on 4 December. Listen in on academic sessions such as sample lectures, seminars and Q&As, sessions on how to apply, and chat with current students. Find out more and book for an open day.

Best wishes,
