Campus and Community
Celebrating the festive season on campus
There's lots to enjoy in the last week of term and into the Christmas vacation. Join Library Study Happy events, visit the last Food Market of the term, take part in Christmas Crafts with the Global Connections Team and wrap up for a festive film night on the Piazza Big Screen on 8 December. Take a look!
UK Disability History Month - hidden disability panel today
To mark UK Disability History Month from 18 November - 18 December, the Disabled Students' Association is holding a panel event today (6 December) 3-4pm on the theme of 'hidden disability'. Hear from Warwick students with a range of hidden disabilities and ask questions - and you can take part online or in person.
Safety and locking up over Christmas and the holidays
If you're heading home for the end of term, keep yourself and your valuables safe with tips from our Community Safety team. Lock your windows and your room door on campus, or the front and rear doors of off-campus accommodation, take your valuables with you and don't leave items visible from your windows and doors. In addition, don't share pictures of your accommodation on social media where they can be seen and shared. Find out more.
COVID-19 - face coverings
We're keeping our community safe by wearing face coverings in shops and on public transport, and as much as possible on campus. Read our current guidance.
COVID-19 - testing before you travel
If you're travelling to your home address or around the UK over the vacation, we advise that all students take a lateral flow test (or a PCR test if you have symptoms) before you make your journey. Find out how to book symptomatic and asymptomatic tests on campus (the Junction will close for supervised asymptomatic tests after 10 December) or at your local centre in Coventry or Leamington/Warwickshire.
If you test positive, you can use your on-campus accommodation for self-isolation as long as you need, provided you have a contract for the full year. Please let us know if you test positive.
If you're travelling internationally over the vacation, check testing and isolation requirements for your intended destination.
Staying on campus over Christmas
What's on, campus opening times and wellbeing support
If you're staying on campus over the vacation, our Christmas at Warwick website has information on opening times for on-campus venues and retail spaces, links to local and regional transport providers, wellbeing support over the vacation, and some on-campus events over the festive period. The Chaplaincy Lounge will be open each day during the vacation, including Christmas Day, with coffee, tea, toast and board games on offer.
