Following yesterday’s (8 December) Government announcement on Covid-19 safety requirement changes from Monday 13 December, we’re sharing an update about what this means for you.
Term 1 teaching and learning
In line with guidance from the Department for Education (DfE), face-to-face teaching will continue as planned, so please follow your timetable for the rest of this week (and next if you’re a Foundation Studies student).
It’s key that we all keep taking twice weekly lateral flow tests and follow the guidance on face coverings – this means you’re expected to wear a face covering when you’re moving around inside and when you’re sitting down in teaching spaces.
Christmas vacation
If you’re travelling home within the UK for the Christmas vacation, please take a lateral flow test before you make your journey.
If you’re travelling internationally, please check the latest government advice for your destination.
If you’re staying on campus or in the local area, or arriving over Christmas, you’ll see more information about support, what’s on and opening times for our services on the Christmas at Warwick pages. And, we’ll keep in touch over the vacation via MyWarwick.
Term 2 teaching and learning
As we look ahead to term 2, in line with the DfE guidance, blended teaching and learning and assessments will continue as planned by your department. We'll ensure appropriate measures are in place – as per the arrangements we have already shared, so that face-to-face teaching and learning can take place safely.
We know ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and even minor changes like these can feel difficult and unsettling, but our flexible planning approach and experience over the course of the pandemic means that, if circumstances do change, we can and will adapt quickly so that we can continue to deliver the best experience we can.
