Hello Student,

We hope you're well and enjoying your Christmas break. We know some of you are staying in your term-time accommodation over the vacation, so read on for more about what's on over Christmas and to hear from some of our teams about support available over this time.

We'd like to remind you to book your Covid-19 vaccinations or booster over the Christmas holiday and to take a lateral flow test ahead of returning to campus for term 2.

Christmas at Warwick

If you’re staying in your term-time accommodation over the Christmas period or need any support over the vacation, you’ll find lots of information on our Christmas at Warwick pages. The Christmas opening hours are listed for university services and retail outlets during the vacation.

You’ll see events over the vacation and wellbeing contacts and resources, including emergency contacts. You can also hear more from some of our teams below about support available over the Christmas period.

And, if you’re at Warwick during the vacation, wrap up warm, take a walk around and explore our beautiful campus and the surrounding area. Our campus covers 290 hectares and there are a number of short walks and green spaces to enjoy. We’re also home to over 20 sculptures spread out all across University land – why not challenge yourself to find all 25 in our Sculpture Park? One sculpture in particular is a Warwick favourite, and is now back on campus after a brief time away for conservation work: the iconic Koan returned to its home outside the Warwick Arts Centre yesterday!

Covid-19 vaccinations and booster jabs

We’d like to remind you to book your Covid-19 vaccinations over the vacation, whether that’s your first or second vaccination, or a booster jab. We’re recommending having vaccinations and booster jabs as we look to keep our community safe over the coming months.

Coventry Council have a pop-up clinic in Broadgate on Saturday 18 December and Sunday 19 December. See dates and times of other drop-in vaccination clinics in Coventry and Warwickshire.

You can also access the Covid-19 vaccination programme through the National Booking Service or your local GP service before you return to campus in the new term.

See more information on the Stay Safe pages.

Covid-19 testing

It’s important that we continue to take twice-weekly lateral flow tests. If you’re at home in the UK over the Christmas vacation, please ensure you take a lateral flow test before travelling back to campus for term 2. If you test positive, please let us know so we can support you. See more advice and guidance on the Stay Safe pages.

By continuing with regular asymptomatic testing and taking a PCR test if symptomatic, we’re doing our bit to keep each other safe.

We hope you have a restful and enjoyable Christmas break.

Best wishes,
