Dear Test

With the recent significant increase in Covid-19 cases in the UK, and the Government’s guidance on how we should mitigate the risk of further spread, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone our winter graduation ceremonies. We apologise for the frustration and disruption this may cause you and your families. We believe this is the best course of action to keep our community safe and to give you the chance to celebrate your achievements properly, when the time comes.

We are making plans to arrange celebrations in the summer for all graduates who have been unable to attend ceremonies due to the pandemic. We will be in touch in the new year with arrangements for you and your cohort.

Refund of academic dress hire

If you have already paid to hire robes or purchased photo packages from Ede and Ravenscroft, you will automatically receive a full refund. You do not need to request this and money will be returned to your account by Ede and Ravenscroft in 2-5 days.
 
Degree certificates

Your certificate/s will now be posted to you in January, using the postal address provided when you registered for your graduation. If you need to check the address you provided, you can find it in your confirmation email. If you need to change your address, please reply to this email with your student ID number and your new address.

You can receive your certificate in one of three ways:
  • As standard, certificates will be posted free of charge, using Royal Mail 2nd Class for UK addresses and Airmail for overseas addresses (without tracking information). This is how we will post your certificate unless you let us know otherwise and you don't need to take any action.
  • Alternatively, you can choose to collect your certificate in-person from Student Services, Senate House. Certificates will be available for collection on or after 2pm Monday 24 January 2022. Please confirm by replying to this email by Thursday 6 January 2022 if you would like to collect your certificate in-person.
  • Or, you can choose to have your certificate delivered by courier (DHL) at a charge of £20 for UK addresses or £40 for overseas addresses. If you would like to take this option, please use this form to pay for courier delivery by Thursday 6 January 2022. You do not need to contact us separately.

In all cases, you will be notified via email when your certificate is dispatched in January. You can also read the terms and conditions and the relevant regulations and ordinances linked to via the Awards and Ceremonies webpages.
