Hello Test,

Happy Thursday!
There's a wellbeing theme this week - meet Elena who develops wellbeing modules and shares advice for working on your own wellbeing, wellbeing tips for the new term and for studying for exams. And why not try the Library's Mindfulness Workshops - a regular slot to find time and space for mindfulness practice.
Read on for a reminder about wearing masks in indoor spaces on campus, and information on booking immigration appointments. Read our advice on keeping safe in winter and tune in to housing talks from the SU.

Learning, teaching and research

Study with students from partner institutions at Warwick, Venice and Brussels

Warwick's International Intensive Study Programme (WIISP) modules provide an intensive short-term opportunity to study alongside students from Monash University and on residential modules in Venice and Brussels. New modules are now live for you to select via eVision (if available), or via your department until 28 January. Speak to your department about eligibility or contact the team for more details. Take a look through the modules and find out more about this international learning experience.

A reminder about face coverings in learning, teaching and study spaces

You’re now required to wear a face covering when moving around indoor spaces and when seated in all teaching, study, Library, exam and research spaces (unless you have a valid exemption). Check the full guidance for face coverings on campus.

Understanding your wellbeing

Mental wellbeing has a powerful influence on learning, productivity, physical wellbeing and relationships. Meet Elena Riva, who develops wellbeing modules, and shares her tips for looking after and understanding how your own wellbeing works. Elena answers our 5 questions followed by 5 cheeky more!

Study Happy Mindfulness Workshops

Mindfulness practice is one of the 5 ways to wellbeing recommended by the NHS and doing regular mindfulness exercises can help manage daily stress and develop areas of the brain related to memory retrieval, decision making, and outward attention. The Library's weekly Mindfulness Workshops from the Study Happy team are a great way to try mindfulness techniques if you are a beginner and find dedicated space and time for regular practice. Immigration related advice - booking appointments

If you’re an international student (including EU students) and you wish to see an International Student Adviser for visa or immigration related advice, please remember to book an appointment on MyAdvantage. Online appointments are available now. In person appointments will be available from the Student Opportunity Hub (Senate House) from 25 January. See opening times.

Safety during the winter months

Keep yourself and your valuables safe during the dark evenings with tips from our Community Safety team. Always lock your room door on campus, or the front and rear doors of off-campus accommodation, even when there is someone at home or if you're only leaving for a short period of time. Don't leave valuables lying around and leave lights on at home in the evenings. Avoid isolated places, sticking to well-lit and overlooked routes specially at night. Find out more. Housing talks from Warwick SU

To support you through your accommodation journey and help you understand the do's and don'ts in securing accommodation for the next academic year, the SU is hosting a talk on 19 January and you can also access previous talks on-demand.
