Take time during term 2 to develop your skills and prioritise your wellbeing and mental health with Wellbeing Support Services' Steps to Wellbeing Programme. The programme provides you with the opportunity to reflect on your own wellbeing needs, and suggests a range of different strategies you can adopt and use in your day-to-day life – academically, socially, and personally. The programme covers managing stress and anxiety, productivity and life balance, boosting low mood, sleep and relaxation and managing uncertainty. Apply now for sessions beginning on 17 February.

Warwick Presents - typing championships!

This week we're hosting a global speed typing championship at our Esports Centre! Come along, watch and interact with some of the best typists in the world as you roam around the Esports Centre or watch commentary on the in-venue big screens. Pizza will be available, plus you'll have the chance to win some amazing speed-typing prizes for a few lucky spectators! Footage will also be available on the Piazza Big Screen. The event will be streamed to twitch.tv/warwickesports, so even if you're staying home, you can be part of the action and be eligible to win the prizes! Register for the in-person event!

Take24 - vote for your favourite film

We had lots of fantastic entries in our 24 hour filmmaking competition as part of Spring Term Welcome. Teams had 24 hours to write, shoot and edit a film of no longer than 3.5 minutes. A panel of judges, including BCC Radio 1 & 1Xtra’s film critic, Ali Plumb, picked their winners at our prize screening, but votes for the Audience Favourite award are open until 30 January. Watch the films and vote online!

Gender Expression Fund - apply for gender-affirming items

Applications are now open for the Gender Expression Fund: a community-led fund that transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming students can use to buy up to £50 of gender-affirming items. The fund has been organised by Warwick Pride, the LGBTQUIA+ Association, and made possible by the Warwick Innovation Fund. Find out more information and apply for funding before 6 February.

Covid vaccination drop-in clinics this week

Vaccinations will be available at the University Health Centre on Thursday 27 January 10am to 1pm. Walk-ins are available but it's best to call and book an appointment on 024 7526 3418. Off-campus vaccination drop-in clinics are also operating in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Best wishes,
