Read on for some inspiration from Law student Emily, who took part in our very own internship programme - read her tips and register your interest to take an internship this summer. You'll also find helpful resources to help you prioritise your wellbeing as you study this term.
Next week we're marking Sexual Violence Awareness Week. Find out about events we're hosting to raise awareness, break down stigma and empower survivors.  

PGR News

PreCURe - uncover the potential of your research

Work and network with PGRs across the UK to identify new ways to apply your research and discover new entrepreneurial opportunities, through a five-day sprint programme taking place over 7 weeks (including a bootcamp on 16 and 17 February). Apply by 10 February for this research development opportunity.

PG Tips

Our in-person PG Tips sessions return next week! Join us and our two postgraduate mentors from our Ask a Postgrad platform to have a chat about postgraduate life and enjoy some biscuits and refreshments in the Postgrad Hub. All are welcome every Tuesday from 3-4pm! 

Centres of Doctoral Training - EDI Project Officer role

Warwick’s Doctoral College is committed to develop a fully inclusive University community which recruits and retains talented staff and students from all sectors of society equally. This CDT EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) Project Officer role is crucial to our plan for implementing immediate new projects which will impact the current and future postgraduate research community at Warwick, particularly its Centres of Doctoral Training. Research Refresh

Research Refresh returns to the Wolfson Research Exchange next week. Join us on Thursdays 10:30-12 noon for some fresh coffee and doughnuts and to have a chat to other researchers. We will also have an assortment of table games.

There are a number of session coming up in the On Track programme including Qualtrics for postgrads and Storage Success: Managing your Research Data.

Wellbeing for learning

Wellbeing is an important factor in cultivating a healthy approach to your learning, and our Wellbeing Support Service has a catalogue of self-help resources to help with issues such as procrastination, perfectionism and motivation. More specific resources on time management, managing deadlines and managing stress may also be helpful for term 2. And remember to take time out for relaxation.

Study Happy goes for a walk!

The Study Happy team is taking Study Happy Active outdoors! Take a relaxed walk around the campus lakes on Friday at 2pmDiscover more Study Happy events where you can meet other students, develop new skills, take a break and have fun!

The Warwick Internship Programme gives you the chance to gain valuable work experience through a 6-week work placement during the summer vacation, with applications opening Saturday 12 March. Find out more about the programme and register your interest now!

Sexual Violence Awareness Week - 7-11 February

We're running a series of events to mark national Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2022. Join the Report and Support team who will be raising awareness, generating discussion among our communities, and breaking down the silence and stigma that surrounds sexual abuse and sexual violence, so that survivors can feel empowered to disclose their experiences and seek support. Find out more about the week's events, which includes an introduction to Warwick's current and emerging research, and register.

Personal Relationships Policy 

Read our new Personal Relationships Policy, which sets out the expectations and obligations of the University with respect to intimate relationships between students and staff.

Waste collection in Coventry

Coventry City Council have recently launched new plans to help collect the city’s waste over the coming weeks as disruption to refuse collection continues due to industrial action. Find out more including where you can dispose of waste.

Lateral flow test drop-ins and face coverings

Drop in to our lateral flow mobile testing unit today (3 February) and Thursday 10 February at the Library between 10am – 5pm. No need to book, simply drop in

A reminder that you're required to wear a face covering when moving around indoor spaces and when seated in all teaching, study, Library, exam and research spaces (unless you have a valid exemption). Check the full guidance.
