Testing positive, lateral flow testing and covid vaccine drop-ins

If you test positive for Covid-19, you must self-isolate straight away to avoid spreading the infection to other people - read government self-isolation guidance. This means you must not leave your accommodation (including for in-person teaching sessions and exams). If you've not been able to make it to an exam, see our guidance for submitting Mitigating Circumstances and a list of suggested evidence required. If you test positive off campus on a PCR or LFT, please let us know so that we can support you, including by informing your Department.

Lateral flow testing
It's really important that we all continue to do twice-weekly lateral flow tests (even if you’re vaccinated) to reduce transmission of the virus and protect yourself and others. Please make sure you report your results (whether positive or negative). Remember, if you test positive let us know too.
Drop in to our lateral flow mobile testing unit today (10 February) at the Library between 10am – 5pm. No need to book, simply drop in. A mobile testing unit will also be at Cannon Park every Saturday until 26 March, offering assisted testing and home testing kits.

Drop in vaccination clinic
Vaccinations will be available at the University Health Centre today (10 February) 10am till 1pm. Walk-ins are available but it's best to call and book an appointment.

Emergency services on campus - who to call

If you find yourself in an emergency situation on campus (where the emergency services are required to attend), always call our Community Safety team first. Ring 024765 22222 (from a mobile) or extension 22222 (from a landline) rather than calling 999. This is so that the Community Safety Team can direct or escort the emergency vehicles to the correct location in the quickest possible way.

Best wishes,
