Anyone impacted by the situation in the Ukraine is invited to come to the Chapel in the Chaplaincy to light a candle and place it on the altar. Our Chaplains are also available if anyone would like to speak to them.

Assessment
Individual support if your personal circumstances are effecting your studies adversely
As the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic starts to reduce, we are returning to our approach of offering individual support to you if your personal circumstances are effecting your studies adversely.
We continue to provide an opportunity to self-certify for extensions on eligible assessments (of up to five working days) twice per academic year.
We are currently reviewing our mitigating circumstances policy to ensure that it will still work to support you as it was intended.
As part of our response to the pandemic, we ensured that all students in all years of study would have an opportunity to resit failed modules if they had mitigating circumstances or failed to progress to their next year of study. These arrangements are now permanently included in our academic regulations so all students can continue to benefit from the ability to resit.
The graduation benchmark we put in place to prevent final degree classifications being negatively affected by the rapid move to online teaching and assessment in March 2020 will continue to apply to you if any assessment taken in term 3 of 2019/20 will contribute to your final degree classification.
You are encouraged to contact your Personal Tutor or the relevant departmental contact, if you have specific questions not already covered in the guidance provided here or by your department.
