Warwick Teacher Researcher Network

Are you seeking opportunities to work with schools or would like to let schools know about the work you are doing? Are you interested in collaborating with teachers or school leaders on exciting and innovative projects? Learn more about the Warwick Teacher Researcher Network, which aims to enhance research culture, drawing together Warwick academics and school-based colleagues who are interested in primary and secondary education research.

Productivity and Futures of Work GRP Annual Conference: call for papers!

You can now submit an abstract for the Annual GRP Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and Wellbeing in the Workplace.” The conference will bring together PhD researchers from all academic disciplines from within and outside Warwick. Find out more about the conference and how to submit.

On Track – PGR Wellbeing Masterclass

Join our session in the Research Exchange in collaboration with Wellbeing Support Services on Wednesday 15 June, 2pm-3pm,  to hear some strategies for dealing with some of the common issues encountered by PGR students, and learn some tips for maintaining your wellbeing.

Foundations for Wellbeing

Take a break in the Postgrad Hub with Wellbeing Support Services, and learn some simple things you can incorporate into your day in order to stay active! Upcoming drop-in sessions are held on Wednesdays between 2-3pm and include: Keeping Active on 15 June, Sleep, Rest and Relaxation on 15 and 29 June. Find out more here.

In need of a break from your revision? Then look no further and book a free session on our Inflatable Obstacle Course running from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 June, 12pm-5pm. Come and play a variety of sports on inflatables, including a huge Labyrinth Challenge, human football table, inflatable volleyball, and inflatable crazy golf! So book your free place and get ready to bounce!

Improve your sleep

This month's Wellbeing theme is around sleep. Our Steps to Wellbeing Programme includes a session on sleep which will help you to identify and understand your barriers to good sleep and explore practical strategies to help overcome them. You can also access a free online course, Improve Your Sleep, full of hints and tips to help you sleep, leaving you more energised and refreshed. Our Sleep self-help resource also contains advice and tips for improving your sleep regime.

Sport for Social Good webinar

If you’re interested in the vital role that sport plays in society, from bringing communities together, to improving physical and mental wellbeing, to facilitating socioeconomic prosperity, then register for our Sport for Social Good webinar on Tuesday 14 June, 12:30-1:30pm. Our host Iain McKinney will be joined by a fantastic panel of speakers such as Kare Adenegan, our silver medal-winning student Paralympian, Born Barikor, CEO and Founder of Our Parks Ltd, and Robbie Chandler, Health Manager at Coventry City Football Club’s charity arm.

Warwick is looking at potentially developing a new undergraduate course in Gaming. If you’re into gaming, we’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on whether this is something students might be interested in, so we can develop the course further. The survey takes 10 minutes and all completed entries will be entered into a prize draw to win a Nintendo Switch OLED with Neon Joy Cons! Take part by 15 June.

The SU’s Company Law Meeting is happening on Monday at 5pm (with free pizza!), where you'll have the opportunity to vote on important changes to how your SU is governed. If you can't make it to the meeting, please take a few minutes to vote via proxy.
