Hello Test

Another fantastic academic year at Warwick draws to a close. Thank you all for making it a special one. We saw campus come to life again, abuzz with teaching, learning and research, fantastic events, and celebrations. I’d like to congratulate you all for your hard work and your commitment to working as a community to keep each other safe.

There’s going to be a real excitement on campus continuing over the break, too. We’re finally able to celebrate our newest alumni who graduated in absentia in Summer 2020, Winter 2021 and Summer 2021 with a belated and thoroughly-deserved graduation celebration! Then we will be holding our first in-person Degree Congregations in over two years – I’m looking forward to celebrating with all of you who are due to graduate this summer. This will be a very special occasion as you celebrate your achievements with family, friends and the Warwick community.

In July we’ll also be hosting a Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games athletes’ village, with close to 2,000 competitors making use of our excellent campus facilities. A reminder that some work is taking place on campus to prepare for these events – take a look at what’s going on and when, if you’re on campus over the next few months.

I want to thank you for taking part in opportunities for dialogue this year, whether through the NSS, departmental SSLCs, the student panel or our termly surveys. We really appreciate your feedback and will be sharing plans, including more opportunities to share your views, over the summer and beyond. Thank you also for recognising our excellent teachers, personal tutors and public engagement champions this term.

Do look after yourselves over the summer months, whether you’re working through a thesis or dissertation, work experience or industry placement, or just taking time to relax and recuperate. Wellbeing Support Services’ Steps to Wellbeing Programme is a great resource to help you prioritise your wellbeing, and there are sessions running through July and August, open for registration now.

Best of luck to all of you who are awaiting results of assessments over the break. If you’re moving on this summer, do keep in touch with us, we love to hear how you’re getting on. I wish you a happy summer and look forward to welcoming those re-joining us again in the autumn.

With best wishes,
