Hello Pgr

We hope you've had a good week. We have an update on the industrial action taking place. Read on for the EUTOPIA Inclusion Workshop, find out if you're eligible for the Widening Participation Student Network, join a Microsoft Word online session, or the Library Language exchange. Find out more about current retail offers including free fresh soup at the Library Coffee Bar and Café Oculus Monday - Friday from 12pm (until all stock is gone).

Industrial Action

UCU has now announced that members will take strike action on Thursday 24 November, Friday 25 November and Wednesday 30 November 2022. UCU members may also take industrial action short of strike (ASOS) from Wednesday 23 November. We appreciate this may be concerning for you. For more information please refer to your academic department and the FAQs on this page which we will continue to update over the next week.

Understanding Wellbeing Module

This HEAR Accredited module guides you to discover and better understand the crucial concept of wellbeing, exploring it from many different disciplinary viewpoints (from Biology to Philosophy, from Economics to the Arts). We also engage in activities and strategies that can improve our wellbeing, from physical exercise and art to mindfulness and many others. And, we look at what factors might be affecting our wellbeing, from social media, emotions, to dealing with failure. The module has been co-created by IATL staff and students to make sure that it can be accessible to all and work around University life. You can find out more here.
