Hello Jemima

This communication is intended for all students who are on campus, or in the local area over the Christmas vacation. If you don't want to receive these updates please .

We hope you are having a good Christmas break. As you are probably aware, Coventry and Warwickshire has moved into Tier 4 as of 31 December 2020 – you can see what this means in terms of general government advice and guidance.

For students, remaining on campus or in the local area this means you need to follow the revised guidance. Here’s a summary of the main areas of change:

Aubergine Bullet There can be no mixing of kitchen groups/households inside
Aubergine Bullet You can however meet one other person in a public space
Aubergine Bullet Campus cafés, bars and restaurants will provide a takeaway service only. Online ordering is also available through CampusEats
Aubergine Bullet The Sports Hub indoor facilities are closed but you can exercise outdoors. You can continue to do unlimited exercise alone, or in a public outdoor place with your household, support bubble, or one other person
Aubergine Bullet You must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse (e.g. for work or education purposes)

We still advise you to book asymptomatic tests before you restart face to face teaching. We will update the Stay Safe pages to reflect the Tier change and will  provide further guidance on changes to teaching and learning in term 2. Please continue to check your University email account for regular updates.

Best wishes,

Professor Stuart Hampton-Reeves
Head of School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures
