Hello Pgr

It's week 8 and there's plenty to get involved in! Apply to spend your summer teaching in Africa, apply to the HarperCollins Author Academy, get involved in cycling training, find part-time work, and attend the PGR and ECR Network: Funding call and awards ceremony! Read a blog from Sophie as part of our focus on academic integrity this week. You can also see more information below about industrial action which is beginning this week.

Industrial action

We appreciate that news of the forthcoming strike action on Thursday 24 November, Friday 25 November and Wednesday 30 November 2022 may be concerning for you. We’ve pulled together FAQs which may answer the questions you have. If you need more specific information, please refer to your academic department.

PGR & ECR Network: Funding Call & Awards Ceremony

You are invited to attend the launch of our fund for Early Careers Pilot Projects on Thursday 8 December, designed for early career researchers who are developing research around Productivity and the Futures of Work. We are offering researchers from any discipline up to £1500 to cover costs of an event, workshop, seminar or pilot research. There will be a short introduction to the aims of the fund, followed by drinks and networking. We are also inviting PGRs and ECRs to sign up to join our research network. Register for the event here.

Best wishes,
