Hello Test

In today's newsletter, we're excited to introduce Warwick Presents…our year-round programme of fun and free events, open to all students!

Have a look at what we have coming up and keep an eye out for the release of our Term 2 programme. We can’t wait to see you and are sure there will be something in the line-up to make you smile!

Contemporary Choir Performance

Come along and get yourself into the festive spirit with this choral performance of all your Christmas favourites by the Contemporary Choir on Thursday 1 December, 6:30pm-7pm, on the Piazza!

Battle of the Cover Bands

In association with Warwick Band Soc and Tech Crew.

We’re getting the band back together. 16 bands of Warwick students have signed up to perform one cover song each, battling it out for one trophy - Best Band. Who will take it home? Our esteemed judging panel will make the final decision and you can be there to show your support and enjoy the show. It's free to attend on Monday 5 December in Copper Rooms 2. Doors open at 5:30pm and the event finishes at 11pm, entry is available throughout the event.

Christmas Lights Switch On

Which renowned campus celebrity is turning the lights on this year? Well, it could be you! Pop along to the Piazza on Wednesday 7 December from 4pm-6pm (lights on at 5pm) and enter our free raffle to turn on the Christmas lights. Enjoy some festive fun with live music, food, mulled wine and more! Join us from 3pm to make your own baubles and Christmas cards, or if you’re all fingers and thumbs you can pick up handcrafted and original gifts from the Christmas Market.

Labyrinth Light Trail

The long-awaited opening of the new Labyrinth has arrived, and we're lighting up the path for one night only on Wednesday 7 December, 4pm-6pm, in the Chaplaincy Square (behind Senate House). Experience its twisting turning path for fun, take a reflective approach with a guided walking sheet to help you look back at your journey this term, or take the Nativity walk.

Share a Christmas Message...

It’s not just the fairy lights that will be twinkling at our Christmas Lights Switch On event, we hope you'll be shining too. We’re looking for festive stars to grace the Big Screen with your Christmas video or text messages. So give the gift of a cheery message, and help fellow students and staff feel happier than an elf in a toyshop.

Christmas Lunch and Hangout

We know some of you are not able to make it home over the Christmas break and might be missing family, and nothing soothes your spirits quite like a roast dinner. Join us for a traditional Christmas Lunch on Tuesday 13 December, 1pm-2:30pm, at the Dirty Duck. We'll be feasting on a Yorkshire pudding wrap with your choice of turkey or veg with cranberry and all the trimmings! For dessert, indulge yourself with a warm chocolate fudge cake or winter fruit filo strudel with custard. All for £1.95!

You can also stick around for our Christmas hangout from 2:30pm-3:30pm where we’ll play some games and get to know each other.

If your mouth is watering, book your seat for lunch here.

Thanks for reading a taste of what we have in store for Warwick Presents… keep an eye on our website for more events as we add them. We’re always on the lookout for new ideas, so if you have a bright idea for something fun you would like to see in the programme, pop a message in our suggestion box

Best wishes,
