This information is for students with upcoming travel planned from China to the UK.

We're contacting you to let you know about the introduction of new temporary border measures from today (Thursday 5 January) for people flying from mainland China to England.
In light of rising Covid-19 cases in China, the precautionary measures will aim to improve the UK’s ability to detect new and potentially harmful variants.
Important information:
If you’re travelling from China to the UK, you will need to provide evidence of a negative Covid-19 pre-departure test (PDT) result, taken no more than two days prior to departure.
If you test positive and are not able to travel, please notify your academic department. Please also inform the Student Immigration team if you are starting a new course, or, are returning from a period of temporary withdrawal, as you might require an extension of the 'latest start date' on your CAS.
Further information and support
If you are due to travel to the UK, make sure to regularly check the latest UK Government guidance before travelling. If you are travelling through another country before arriving in the UK, please check before your journey whether you need to meet any additional requirements for the country you are travelling through.
You can also visit our University guidance pages, and contact our team at studentcomms@warwick.ac.uk if you have any further questions. |
Best wishes,

and the Student Communications team
