Hello Test

As we begin a new term, I would like to start by wishing you all a Happy New Year. I hope you enjoyed a restful break. We look forward to welcoming you onto campus, whether you’re returning for another term, or if it’s your first time here at Warwick.

The start of a new term brings more opportunities for you to provide invaluable feedback on what we’re doing well at Warwick and where we can improve. Make sure to utilise module evaluation opportunities and your Student Staff Liaison Committee and look out for the launch of our Accommodation Student Satisfaction Survey this week, and the National Student Survey for final-year students in February. Postgraduate students will be invited to participate in our Postgraduate Taught Experience or Postgraduate Research Experience Surveys. We’d also love to hear about the teachers who have inspired you, so make sure to submit your Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence nominations soon.

Through the Warwick Presents programme, you’ll be able to join a whole host of events and opportunities this term. Show your best dancing skills in the You Can-Can this week or take part in a 24-hour filmmaking competition, join Lunar New Year and other cultural and festival celebrations, apply to become part of the delivery team for Warwick’s first student-led Film Festival, and much more. Keep an eye on the Warwick Presents page and your MyWarwick app events calendar for more information.

As always, your safety and that of our whole community is our top priority. With colds, flus and other respiratory illnesses being more common in winter months, please read the Infectious Diseases Guidance (including Covid-19) for this term including on what to do if you’re unwell and wearing a face covering.

Please remember to also take a look at our cost-of-living hub as I know it will continue to be a challenging time throughout the coming months. You can see details about support and other information including the spaces open to you on campus, and facilities available in those spaces.

Finally, I’d like to wish you all the best for a happy and successful Term 2 and if you have exams, I wish you the best of luck. If you need support, or if your friends or course mates need it, please explore the support options available from our Wellbeing and Student Support team or your personal tutor.

Best wishes,
