Volunteering Opportunity: The Uniform Project

Are you looking for flexible and meaningful work experience? The Uniform Project is a social enterprise that aims to provide students with repurposed uniforms and resources. Through this repurposing model, the project plans on removing the burden that parents/carers face when enrolling their children in school. They also aim to reduce the environmental impacts of wastage. Please find the application form and roles available here.

Student Green Champions - Relaunch Event

The University’s Sustainability Team is relaunching their Student Green Champions Network with an event on 24 January, 12pm-1pm, in OC0.01. Be part of a network that recognises and embraces that sustainability is at the heart of our future. You can also develop transferrable skills, meet like-minded people and see more of campus and the surrounding area. You can choose from a wide range of activities to participate in while earning skill points towards your Warwick Award. Find out more here.

Support and Safety

Wellbeing: Managing depressive feelings

This week's wellbeing theme is around low mood and how to tackle it. The third Monday in January has often been seen as challenging. This year, the Samaritans are renaming it 'Brew Monday' in a campaign to encourage everyone to reach out to someone over a cup of tea. It's important that we stay connected. A small dip in how we feel is natural but if the low mood continues then it can tip into depression. If you're feeling flat then this is the time to make an extra effort to lift the spirits, taking time for yourself and taking care of yourself. Please see our masterclass on how to Boost Your Mood. If you need any support please reach out to our Wellbeing team via the wellbeing portal.

Active Bystander Intervention course

Let's work together as a community and help to keep everyone at Warwick safe. Being an active bystander means being aware of when someone's behaviour is inappropriate or threatening and choosing to challenge it either yourself or with the help of others (if it's safe to do so). You can now register your interest for our active bystander intervention course and explore other resources.

Primary courses of vaccines available

On 15 February from 9am-1pm, we have a clinic at the Health Centre on campus for your primary course of vaccines (1st, 2nd or booster). Please call the surgery on 024 7526 3418 after 11am to check your eligibility and book your appointment.
