Volunteering Opportunity: British Science Week and The Big Read
Volunteer to engage with the public at British Science Week or The Big Read. These exciting events are a great chance to practice talking about your subject with a variety of visitors, and to design fun activities for adults and children to enjoy. You can also do some skills training with the Warwick Institute of Engagement and earn points for the Warwick Award.
Volunteering Opportunity: PowerHouseGames sports day
On 9 February, Warwick will be hosting its first PowerHouseGames, a unique sports day bringing together secondary school students across the region to play inclusive games such as boccia, new age kurling, and sitting volleyball. We’re looking for 24 student volunteers to join us for this feel-good morning, supporting children to learn and play these games at the Warwick Sports Hall. You’ll also get a free t-shirt and lunch! Arts and Creative Industries Careers Fair
Join us to speak to a variety of arts and creative industry professionals, from those in film and tv, to copywriting, music journalism, broadcasting, and much more. Hear their stories and get expert insight and advice to help you develop your employability. Book your space and come along to Agora Atrium Space, Faculty of Arts Building on Thursday 26 January, 6-8pm, to get involved.
Careers in Sustainability 2023
Join the virtual Careers in Sustainability Event on Tuesday 24 January, 6pm-7:30pm to hear speakers reflect on their career paths, offer tips on how to get ahead, and provide an insight into what it is like to work within the sustainability sector. Confirmed speakers come from Albert+/BAFTA, Dyson, Volkswagen and Foundation Earth. Book here for this session on Teams.

Do you have an idea to make Warwick more equal, diverse, and inclusive? We want you to use your lived experiences to identify problems and challenges at Warwick, and then work through our Designing for Inclusion programme in February and March 2023 to co-create an interdisciplinary and innovative solution. It's normal to feel a dip in your mood, but if it becomes too regular an occurrence it can start to affect different areas of your life. Join our next Steps to Wellbeing session on Thursday 26 January at 10am to get tips and strategies on how to manage low mood and how to boost yourself back up. You have until this Sunday 29 January to complete the Warwick Accommodation Student Satisfaction Survey. Whether you're living on or off campus, we'd like you to share your accommodation experiences so that we can improve the accommodation services and facilities on offer at Warwick.
On completion of the survey, you'll have the option to enter a prize draw to win one of six £100 Amazon vouchers! (3 x £100 for students living off campus / at home; 3 x £100 for students living on campus).
