Wellbeing: Sleep
This week's wellbeing theme is around sleep. Good sleep is the cornerstone of wellbeing and is essential for positive physical, mental, and emotional health. When you sleep your brain consolidates your learning, so it is important for your academic work too. It is not unusual to experience disrupted sleep from time to time, particularly during times of change or increased stress. Check out our self-help resource on Sleep, and the free 'Improve Your Sleep' online course on Togetherall.
Support for part-time, mature, and commuter students
We know that part-time, mature, or commuter students can find studying at university challenging, often due to work or caring commitments. We have created a range of resources to help support you, including IT top tips from peers, an understanding wellbeing module, an emotional resilience toolkit, groupwork and academic writing support. Take a look at our project resource hub or get in touch via our website. On Tuesday 7 February, the SU are also holding a Parents, Carers, Part-Time, and Mature Students Meet and Greet, 11am-1pm, in the Kevin Gately Room in SUHQ. Tea and coffee are available.
