First, please see below for an update on industrial action.
|
Industrial action
Following progress at the national negotiations, the industrial action by members of the University and College Union (UCU) has been paused for the next two weeks. This means strike action will no longer take place this week (week commencing 20 February) or next week (week commencing 27 February) to enable further talks to take place. Teaching and learning activity will go ahead as scheduled across these two weeks.
Depending on the outcome of the discussions, the strike action dates scheduled for later in March could still go ahead. We will keep you updated on any developments.
The FAQ on this web page may help answer questions you have and if you need more specific information, please refer to your academic department.

Wellbeing: Productivity and work-life balance
Our productivity levels tend to fluctuate, but when we find ourselves procrastinating too often, it can have an impact on our work, and it's crucial to understand ourselves internally and work to change this. Planning our workload and finding the right work-life balance so we don't feel overwhelmed can help. This week on Thursday 23 February we have our next Steps to Wellbeing session on Productivity and Work-Life Balance. Please register here before midnight on Wednesday 22 February.
