Hello Undergraduate

Excited for a new week? There are lots of opportunities and events this week. Green Week and EUTOPIA Languages Week begin today, there are International Women's Day events and the Holi Colour Party! You can vote in Take 24, and don't forget to register to vote in the upcoming general elections. Take part in a micro-course to learn more about being an Active Bystander. First, please read an update on industrial action.

Industrial action update

The UCU has confirmed an additional day of strike action on Wednesday 15 March in relation to the current dispute on pay, pensions, and working conditions. This is in addition to the strike action dates already set to take place on Thursday 16, Friday 17, Monday 20, Tuesday 21, and Wednesday 22 March. The FAQs on the hub page may help answer the questions you have and if you need more specific information, please refer to your academic department.

Wellbeing: Productivity

This week's wellbeing theme is productivity. At times, we may notice changes in our productivity. For example, we may have periods of heightened productivity, where our workload is well managed, and we meet deadlines with ease. However, these periods of high productivity may be followed by periods where we struggle to get started with our work, leading to mounting pressures to meet deadlines. If you find yourself struggling, please take a look at our self-help resources on writer's block, procrastination, and time management.

Active Bystander Intervention micro-course

This micro-course will introduce what it means for you to be an active bystander, and how you can help create a safe and welcoming community at Warwick. As an added bonus, students who complete the course will get a free Greggs sausage roll voucher (meat or vegan).

Best wishes,
