Important updates
Current restrictions are to remain in place after Government's recent announcement
As you may have seen in the Government’s recent announcement, the current measures in UK universities will be extended to at least 8 March.
This means that online learning continues until this date (week 9) for all courses other than the MBChB, social work and initial teacher training where face to face teaching is permitted. You should remain where you are and not travel. Our safety measures on campus, which include social distancing, face coverings, enhanced cleaning and test and trace, remain in place and important for all members of our community.
We are reviewing the guidance available from Government and will give further detail as soon as possible. If you need any support, please reach out to Wellbeing Support Services, contact our student support helpline or the residential life team on campus.
Graduation ceremonies postponed until 2022
In light of ongoing uncertainty relating to coronavirus, Warwick has chosen to postpone in-person graduation ceremonies until 2022.
Although this was a difficult decision to make, ultimately the safety of the Warwick community had to take priority. Therefore, as we await a clearer picture on restrictions on public gatherings, social distancing and travel, celebrations of this year’s graduating cohort will be held virtually.
Students expected to be eligible to attend the July 2021 degree ceremonies have received an email today.
Students on Campus
Twice weekly asymptomatic testing until 26 February
All students living, studying or working regularly on campus will have access to two lateral flow tests per week until 26 February. Find out more.
To speed up and simplify the check-in and registration process for twice-weekly lateral flow testing, you are encouraged to register for an NHS Test and Trace account. View details on the bookings page.
There is also guidance about taking a confirmatory PCR test following a positive lateral flow test.
Study spaces
If you need to come onto the main campus to use our study spaces for individual study, we have spaces in:
PG Hub, Junction – available for postgraduate students
BioMed Grid – available for Medical School and Life Sciences students
Rootes Grid – available for undergraduates and other current students
Find out more.
Read the Warwickshire Police Guidance for students during Covid-19 lockdown.

Updated UKVI guidance on post-study work visa eligibility
This is relevant to all students applying for or are currently holding a Student Visa (including Tier 4 visa).
In view of continued disruption to international travel, the Home Office UKVI has recently updated the coronavirus concession policy regarding eligibility for the 2-year Graduate Route visa. Detailed information is available on the Arrival webpage.
The main change is that only one-year Master's students and final year students (i.e., anyone graduating in 2021) are required to be in the UK on or before 6 April 2021 and must complete the final part of their studies in the UK. Anyone who does not graduate in 2021 (e.g., 1st year or 2nd year Undergraduate or research students) can spend the whole of the academic year 2020/21 outside the UK studying remotely without affecting their eligibility for the Graduate Route. More information about the Graduate Route visa can be found on the Student Immigration website.
Please note that this does not change the University's physical arrival deadline if you started your course remotely since the autumn of 2020 and have not yet travelled to the UK.
